About This Video
Did you know airplanes have a secret computer system that talks to other planes?
When human error puts two commercial jets on a collision course, a software called TCAS steps in. This autonomous algorithm constantly monitors the airspace around the aircraft. If another plane gets too close, the systems on both planes instantly communicate to solve the problem.
In a fraction of a second, TCAS issues a "Resolution Advisory." It gives direct, unarguable robotic commands in the cockpit, telling one plane to pull up and the other to dive. Pilots are legally required to obey the computer over the human Air Traffic Controller.
This invisible algorithmic shield proves that sometimes, the only way to beat a human error is with perfect aerospace coding.
